A note about our fees.
SproutHouse Early Education is committed to providing exceptional early learning experiences in a thoughtfully designed, Reggio-inspired environment.
At this time, the Alberta government is not offering affordability funding to any newly opened child care programs, regardless of whether they are privately owned or not-for-profit. As a result, newly opened centres like SproutHouse are currently unable to participate in Alberta's affordability program.
To help make quality child care as accessible as possible, we have chosen to offer introductory discounted fees through February 2027. These reduced fees represent a significant investment on our part as we establish our new program and welcome our first families.
We remain hopeful that future provincial funding agreements will allow newly opened child care programs to participate in the affordability program. If funding becomes available, we will pass those savings directly on to our families through reduced tuition.
At the same time, we believe in being transparent. The outcome of upcoming provincial funding negotiations remains uncertain. If affordability funding continues to be unavailable after February 2027, we may need to transition from our introductory rates to standard market rates. Should this become necessary, families will receive plenty of advance notice so they have time to plan and make the best decision for their family.
Operating outside of the affordability program also allows us to make intentional investments in the quality of our program. This includes offering competitive wages to attract and retain exceptional educators, creating beautiful, engaging learning environments, purchasing high-quality materials, and supporting ongoing professional development for our team.
Our goal is to provide children with a warm, inspiring, and well-supported place to learn and grow while building a community where families feel connected, valued, and confident in the care their children receive.
We remain optimistic that the provincial funding model will evolve to include newly opened programs in the future and will continue to advocate for greater accessibility to high-quality child care for all Alberta families.
